Wanted to share a neat little project that my son and I just completed as it might be helpful to others.

Started looking at rotisseries a few weeks ago and couldn’t justify the spend or the space needed to store it when not in use. Did some research online for other options and found several people using wooden tip fixtures. So we took a trip to our local hardware store and after $150 and a few hours worth of work we came up with this.

Very similar to what I did for my 71 Barracuda. It was very stable and was able to roll it on its side with two men. I call it a redneck rotisserie.

Here is a basic drawing of my dimensions to build my rotisserie.

Yep, a hillbilly rotisserie rocks for a guy on a low budget. I haven’t finished mine I started 3 years ago, life got in the way. I designed mine by watching you tube videos and coming up with my own ideas. Mine will be on collapsable casters so you can move it around and also use it to store cars when you run out of space. I seldom have enough space and numerous cars to store. Matter of fact if mine was finished and storing a car/cars I would have bought more cars that I have come across but didn’t buy cause of a lack of space, like 3 more.

As long as you don't get termites while it's flipped up, you'll be good!
Good job. It looks like it can be flipped around to go the other way.

I put it together with intention of being able to flip it either way, in the end, I only flipped it one direction, so the unused side didn't get completely finished.
