:mad:I agree with all of you guys. Just kinda hurts when ya look at the cheap ford and Chevy parts. Love my car, but I’d love it if it was a bit easier on my wallet
Having done a frame off restomod on a 66 Chebby I can tell you that alot of the components are definitely cheaper... And alot of the components are in the range of Mother Mopar.
But an example of something on a 66 Chevelle that you won't rob the bank on is the Heat/AC controls for the dash. It's pot metal and I sent mine off to the supposedly great re-chrome shop in Tennessee and it came back like crap. They said oh well. And when a nice one came up on Ebay it was not cheap.
But you are dealing with a car in the hobby world that will never get the popularity like the GM's and Fords. If you want to get a taste of something that hits your pocket that's not Mopar go try and restore an 87 G Body Buick (Grand National.) Ouch lol...
