Continuation of harebrained dual alternator installation idea

I'm losing the power steering on my 70 Dart with a 360 Magnum. Going to. 16:1 performance manual steering box for two reasons, the box is way too close to the headers (high heat), and I'm I'm interested in road course racing.

By losing the ps pump, The switch over will provide enough clearance for a second alternator on the left side of the engine.

Purpose?? Redundancy, one alt goes out, still have another one. Also when I'm doing a little street racing, I'll need additional amps to drive
The amps up to be sure I have more than enough amps, to drive the electronics used in race mode vs cruise mode

Question ? How would I wire the alt's ??
2 alternators, 2 voltage regulators, main charge wires wires 2 into one, or separate regulators and both charge wires to the battery ? Would an adjustable voltage regulator on the standby alt
