How about buying a used original cluster and adding a couple gauges under the dash?

That's what I just ripped out.....it was bubba'd.....wires and bad connections everywhere.....even used wire nuts under the dash and in the engine compartment. Looking for a cleaner setup while I rewire the whole car.

What's that have to do with a good used cluster?

"What cluster" do you have? Some years can be quite easily modiefied, others "not so much"

They are nice if you are looking to upgrade. I purchased the blank panel, got each gauge individually and wired it all up. It took a while but everything came out nice

I got the same housing but went with a customized set of speedhut gauges. Much nicer having a set of accurate gauges and love the way the work & look.

Did you have any issues converting the gauges from factory to these aftermarket ones? I’m thinking of switching the ones out in my 72 Swinger but wondering what steps are involved? Are yours digital or manual?

Thanks for your insights.

My Duster came with a hacked dash and wiring when I got it. I’m not a fan of wiring but muddled through it.

Looks great! wondering what you do for turn signal and bright light indicators. are they integrated into one of the gauges?
I opted for the fender mounted indicators. Found a used set, painted them to match and wired them in. The pig tails were already there.
