A driver's side bar on the passenger side will twist the opposite direction from the factory hex offset and in the opposite direction that it would twist on the drivers side, regardless of which end is put to the front or rear. Changing which end of the bar is forward or rearward doesn't change anything.
There is no front or rear to the bars, only left and right.
