Most of this time was spent waiting on parts. We also sold our house and had to move in the middle of this build so that added to the fun! After 3 trips to TNT at the local track I think the car is consistent enough to go racing this Saturday. I will take it to TNT the night before just to make sure though.
Today I changed the oil/filter, rotated the slicks, traced down and fixed a leaking oil fitting, replaced leaking radiator cap. The fuel cell is full, the generator is full of gas, 5 gallons of extra race fuel, Tranny fluid topped off and I'm ready to go! Just have to wait for Friday to come. Local track is an easy 45 minute drive for me, mostly interstate and it is a very nice facility.
I footbrake in the no electronics class, and I've seen some strong competition from guys who double enter, so I'd better be on my game and put together some decent packages and pray for red lights in the other lane! Win or lose I know it's going to be fun!

Some photos from the track Friday night

There were at least 3 Dusters there.

Haven’t you been to pine valley raceway a few times in Diboll Texas ?
Yes and I loved that track years ago! We are going to a race there Sept. 10th. Only thing is it is under new management and I heard the new crew is the crew that used to run the San Antonio track and it had problems. I guess I have to go over there and give them a try.

It is under new management
But I haven’t been there yet with the new
Operations , so can’t really give a honest opinion but plan to hope to see you there

I am extremely proud of this light! And this is footbraking.

3200 is the DA and the other mark is a 10mph headwind slowing things down.
Had to leave after 1st round. Found a major exhaust leak just after the passenger side header. Close to WB02 so probably jacking with readings. Did get a 1.44 60' in that round, so the tune is getting better. Will fix exhaust and try it again next Friday.
Nice to meet 383Duster at the track tonight!

Wow...that's unstoppable!! Keep THAT up!! Way to go!

Made 4 passes Friday night. Car has weird issue. Runs good 1 pass then pops and slows way down the next. Then it's good again, etc.
I'm thinking maybe the crank sensor. going to try replacing it with a spare I have and see if that makes any difference. Problem is I don't run a modern ECU that would store a code if the sensor was bad, so it's a guessing game.

How much time is there between a good run, a troubled run, and another good run?
