Making it official, 1971 Duster 340, C7

Welcome to FABO!
Nice car, how about some specs?
Do you drive it a lot?

Well, it's a true "H" code car, VS29H1E......
The original engine is no longer in it. It had a 360 in it for some time but now it has another 340 in it dated 2/69. Very nice lift on the cam and sounds amazing. 4-speed. Still has the factory shifter (and boy is it sloppy LOL). Without pulling the rear end apart to find the gear ratio I was under the impression it had 4.10's. But when I did the wheel spin vs. drive shaft rotation I come up with closer to 3.91. Regardless, she's a head snapper. Edelbrock 1411, 750cfm carb, MS, MB(4 drums), All the metal appears original except for a quarter replaced on the passenger side. The paint is 20-25 years old from what I gathered. Beautiful 10 foot car. LA born and raised until 2017.

I spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting and repairing some electrical issues she came with. Still have a non functional Rallye dash but now I'm comfortable driving it. Going to put some aftermarket gauges in there so I'm not running it blindly. I take it out once every few weeks during the hot rod season up here. Bit of a short window to be honest.

Yep one of those 2...or a clone...either way let's see it!!
That isn't taboo around here to post a B-body on the A-body site? Don't want my hand slapped...:) Still very new around here. Proper etiquette still being learned.

Nope we love 'em all. If you posted your Demon on the E-Body site, you might get a different reaction. Over there, be sure not to end a sentence with a preposition.
Not really, but you get the gist.

Are you kidding? I have even seen Fords posted. This forum is much more technically based. These guys will help solve any problem they don’t care if it is a chain saw or a super bird! I also have an E body and they still talk to me, so there is that! Here ya go blasphemy posted! Your thread is officially tainted! Hah!

You all are an absolute ball! Thanks for such a warm welcome.

Well, why don’t I finish it off with mama’s Nova. This completes our collection over here. If we’re going to sink this thread might as well go all the way.

I love the Nova!
All 4 doors of it.
It looks to be in great shape.
It has a 307 emblem on the fender, is that's what's in it?

Thanks man. I'm told it's the original 307 in it. I still have yet to dig deeper into the VIN and engine/drivetrain stamps to confirm. Hopefully next time I get her up in the air I'll do that. It's WAYYYY over carbed with the Edelbrock 600 we bought it with. Originally I believe it came with a Rochester 2BBL. And around 300cfm. Chrome timing cover tells me likely someone did some valve train work and/or upgrades. Former owner says he jetted the carb down but it still runs super rich. Nice black tailpipe to go with that be assured LOL. She's the single exhaust flavor currently.

Since you opened that door, I'm gonna kick it open. My 1976 Pontiac Ventura, currently 41,800 miles on the clock, numbers matching, original except for wear items that I replaced for safety, and I added a dual outlet muffler. Boasts a 260 cubic inch 2 barrel Olds V8, TH350 trans, and a 10 bolt diff. Nice cruiser, but completely gutless with it's 105 HP.
