Magnum intake drilling plate project

"Chris" is not gonna ship anything. "Chris" is not here and is long gone. If "Chris" buddy actually had this, then "Chris" could have, should have, and would have gotten it back. "Chris" is less than an honest person.
C'mon... Chris is the victim here right? It's not fair to pick on Chris because he's not a decent person.

This time only members who have been here awhile with a good rating will get to use it. I figure $150 plus shipping up front, when done send it back to me, I’ll refund the $150. User payed shipping both ways. Tops maybe $40 for shipping.
I'm thinking for 150 & shipping, they could be handy to have around !!

:)

@Ceedawg I will buy some too. Or rent. ****, I don't care.

FWIW, when Chris said he had someone offer him $200 to sell them to, that was me. I was trying a different angle to get them back to the FABO group. It would be worth $200 to me to get them back into circulation and benefit from this needed jig.

Well I wanted it high enough to not sell so it would stay with the group, but I can make a couple, real easy now on what not to do. I’ll get this one done as soon as possible. I would like to do a video on how to use it but I have no clue.

Maybe we can get a couple in circulation. East Coast/ West Coast/ Canada?

I was "jokingly making a point".... however, I have told Stephen Holz to make some and sell them. I really think there is money to be made and a big market for them. Magnum swaps are happening everyday, and a shortage on 2nd hand magnum intakes. In all reality, if you offered me a good jig for 150+shipping, I'd buy them from you.

Sorry I have been burried with RL for a while. Wasnt even aware they were missing. I really can't do anything till after the first week in October. If new one's arn't out by then I will fab up some improved ones.

That was very cool of you man. ......but the kinda guy you are, it doesn't surprise me.

Sleeve goes in the tube welded in jig, first 19/64 drill in that sleeve, then drill 5/16 without sleeve for tap size. With jig still on start the ream tap, run down till it goes thru drilled hole then use the regular tap to clean up all the way. Remove plate and use the carbide burr to make hole easy for bolt to start.
Backing up put machinist blue at the top of head straight in line with existing bolt. Scribe line, the notch on plate lines up with that line, I did two lines to get more precise. Put a dab of oil on sleeve both are CM 4130 so they won’t wear to fast. Can leave plate on till all holes are drilled, caution, drill bit will catch so go slow and keep bit loose in chuck. If I think of anything else I’ll get it.

Haven’t done the end ones but I’m thinking they will need some type of sealer for the magnum hole, water there.

I thought the holes around the water passage are dry holes.
They are but it’s a real big hole now around bolt, I wouldn’t take a chance on a leak. Found another drill bit, .300 or so, fits sleeve nice and didn’t need the 5/16 unless you want to use it.

.
How big of a bolt are you using to bolt the intake to the head?
Really like your sleeve idea.
