Anyone run one of these on a street car?

Nasir, knew a Pro Mechanic ran one. Eddy heads, solid cam, headers, 10 sec Duster. Check w/ the manufacturer, if they say it'll flow enough, with enough volume, then that would be a killer way to make "free" HP... I've thought about em....

^^^^. The Moroso kit is NOT designed for street use. I have a M catalog & it states: 'Intended for drag race applications only'

Yep I’ve read that, but was just curious if anyone had did it anyway. I know of one on a street car, but it’s only driven on short trips around town. I want to put some miles on my heap. The full moroso electric pump makes the most sense, but I would need to create a provision for the heater hose.

You mean a street car that has an alternator, power steering and air conditioning?

If your water pump pulley doesn’t have a fan bolted to it, you wouldn’t ever see the difference if you were running it by the crank or electrically. I’m not sure about the exact efficiency calculations, but eventually it comes to the power conserved for that becomes additional load on the alternator. The biggest advantage is that it keeps the impeller at a constant speed. Engine water pumps have a fairly narrow range of rpm variance as far as peak efficiency goes.

go for it , call when you hit 20,000 miles of street driving
