Neighbor guy wanted to trade an unseen CJ7 for my ride.
I was flattered but it's a Plymouth and he got my name wrong.

Please post what people have offered you, I'd like to hear em!

I have had a couple people offer me their left nut for my Challenger. I had one guy offer both nuts and, his Harley...needless to say, I passed on all...

Pull up to my favorite cantina to guzzle down lunch, a guy drives up that I knew and said he would trade his ford Tempo for my Dart. "Sure, I'll I trade ya give me about 25 and keep your car". lol

A high school kid up the street had a 78 granada and wanted to trade me for a 72 duster.

He told me how many times he buried the needle in the granada and how mean it was. He said the granada was far meaner than the 318 in the duster. He also stated that it would be a trade up for me because the granada is a newer car.

Big fat no.

Just cash offers/comments here. Usually, I just say, "NO," in a very abrupt and rude tone. Once my response was, "If you pay me a stupid amount of cash. Way more than the car is worth, like $50,000 more than the car is worth, I'll do it."
I think my next response will be, "If you can find a red 1960 Chrysler 300F hardtop, completely restored, I'll trade straight across. Sure, the convertibles are nice, but as a ginger, I do not go out in the sun."

I traded a Harley for my current Swinger, I got into bikes after Mopar stuff started getting crazy $$$. Then I had kids, too many to fit on a Harley!

Granadas are some FUGLY cars.......BUT.......some came with the 351W and those could actually move pretty good. They could also be ordered with a four speed. Overdrive, of course. I've seen ONE years ago when I was doing alignments. 351W four speed 2 door seedan. It was pretty cool.

i got my short bed truck for sale/trade on this site and on fb. a kid built a 2013 400ltz, what ever that is and it has lots of mods. neighbors hate him cause it is too loud. i don't even know what the hell that is. when i found out what it was, i told him " i am 71 yrs old, probably couldn't start it and if i did , i would probably fall off and break my neck". told him thanks but no thanks.

i used to have a coworker who was a bit of a gun nut

about once, twice a month he would toss out numbers like 1500 round of 9mm and 50.000 rounds of .22

i once asked him what he expected me to do with those .22s in a SHTF scenario and he simply replied "headshots"

4 years ago after purchasing a non numbers matching but very decent 3+ conditioned '69 GTX for $21k. I drove it up to the local pub and a friend with a brand new full dressed 2018 Harley special addition Heritage. For a little over $20k. Needless to say the 2 vehicles attracted a crowd. In a joke I said. "You know. A heads up trade is not a terrible deal either way?" And the bar debate began. But of course there was no way either of us would actually consider.

Difference today? My GTX is $10g higher in value. His Harley? About a $6k depreciation.

Just saying.

The .22 is much better at center mass shots, as they go in and fragment. A lot of times, they won't go through a skull......but if they do they turn the brain into cottage cheese. A .22 Magnum, on the other hand will get the job DONE.

What the hell are you talking about?...

I recently had a customer say he would trade his 57 Chevy restomod and is 48 Ford custom resto mod both for my '74 power wagon... And said he'd throw in a Japanese trike... I laughed, not a chance...

You would have come out on top, bad decision on your part.

I had a guy offer me a c10 truck for my Harley Cafe Racer. LAUGHED AT HIM! The list of cars, boats, guns, bikes i got offered for my 66 Sat, no drivetrain, was sick.... FB deal... finally got a guy from Texas that drove over with cash. He had a rotted 67 gtx.... good home for my car

I do think of the number I would take for this car if I ever finish it. The problem is, its a non numbers car. Its just a hot rod. thats it. I would never get the number. Looks like I gotta drive it. poor me.
