I'll trade you my ____ for your Dodge

You must like nuts way more than me. BTW my Challenger has enough nuts for me...
I wouldn't give up any body parts for a challenger. You have to admit that both the front and rear bumpers are flimsy rubber with a styrofoam insert. The differential looks like something they would put in a lawn mower

I have an A-body, B-body and E-body. And I can safely say B-bodies are a better build. And more pleasurable driver experience. I've seen and been told C-body letter cars are a step up from that. But those cars scare me. The performance and body detail required to maintain must be an expensive concern. Let alone any attempt to restore one of them. Those that have the skillset to tackle one of them? I tip my my hat. For you are in the elite class of classic car enthusiasts.

Oops
Either one of those would be worth more than your power wagon. I think that you missed out on a good deal, those 2 for your powe wagon.
The problem with making that decision over the internet is your grossly uninformed about both or all three or four vehicles that I'm talking about...

Just cash offers/comments here. Usually, I just say, "NO," in a very abrupt and rude tone. Once my response was, "If you pay me a stupid amount of cash. Way more than the car is worth, like $50,000 more than the car is worth, I'll do it."
I think my next response will be, "If you can find a red 1960 Chrysler 300F hardtop, completely restored, I'll trade straight across. Sure, the convertibles are nice, but as a ginger, I do not go out in the sun."

My aunt might have one or two of those, she's a hemi Chrysler collector, much better than she used to be (corvettes) all high dollar cars !
I'm a ginger too, I knew you were cool lol

The letter cars are no different than any other C body in terms of construction. A Newport before a 300 isn't any less well made. The power is no different than B bodies, with the obvious exception of a Hemi. The big barges do float down the road nicely, I can attest to that. The biggest challenge is finding good sheet metal or trim pieces. We don't have the luxury of aftermarket support. I learned it's easier to get an entire parts car for a few pieces rather than find the pieces. Selling off the leftovers I don't need gets me some money back in my pocket. But we fall into the trap of a parts car becoming another road worthy car after we deem it too nice to cut up, that's how we end up with a fleet of C bodies. :BangHead:

I had a guy trying my doorbell to ask how much I wanted for my Dart.
"What's the for sale sign say?"
"Uh..... There is no for sale sign."

Well there you go.

He starts telling me how great it is. It isn't.
"I brought my boss by to look at it!" And that's when I got pissed.
As I told him, it's all downhill from here.

I offered a straight trade: My '57 Fairlane 500 (w/351C) for a 68 Notch 'vert. His paint looked like it was fire damaged but the interior was decent, had no top. Guy never got back to me. Guy at Pomon offered me $10K for my 340 powered '65 S. I chuckled and said "15 and you got a deal...and you have to drive me home" He said he'd be back but thankfully, I never saw him again. I pulled a rod out the bottom of a piston on the way home!
if a guy offerered me a Mini 1275 'S', I'd trade my '65 'S' without batting an eyelash. Every one has their price.

I was referring to my 71 Challenger

Guy offered me $25k for my Cuda.....Hell no.

Jeff

Yeah, they can get bent. I wouldn't even trade my '68 for a Hellcat.
Dodge Hellcat.

Grumman Hellcat is a different matter.
edit: expect to see a return of warbirds with the improvement of 3d printing.

What I usually say to people is to just start putting $100 bills in my hand and I'll tell you when to stop.

2005 Camry 166k sitting in driveway with no plates. I replaced several parts: gas tank, struts, brakes, control arms, complete exhaust and other smalls. Guy pulls up asking if it was for sale. I went on about all the work I did etc...He insisted all the brakes would have to re -replaced due to it sitting as he was in the auto business for 35 years. No way around it and would cost me thousands. (Even if that were true brakes are inexpensive anyway) I paid 2,800, put another 1k in parts as it needed upkeep and rusted out parts replaced. When I asked what he would give me his reply was $200 and said the car wasnt worth anything. My reply, "You are out of you effing mind" the car was put back on the road, rides fine and I did NOTHING to the brakes.
It occurred to me later he was probably a scrapper and most likely has taken clear advantage of people insisting them they GIVE them their car and talk his way into it. I have an automotive background and I'm no dummy. It aggravated me for days thereafter.
Oddly enough, people have said similar things about my Duster (street/strip) that it wasnt "worth anything"

I spotted a unique motorcycle rim sticking out of a local scrapper's pickup a few years back. I took a look....Yamaha RZ350. This one was roached and likely stolen, but the motor was complete. I offered $100 and I think I gave $120. The motor is worth about $800.

If it isn't for sale, I generally tread lightly if I go so far as to approach people about it. That stuff puts me right into the redline, but I do it to others.....

Funny you'd mention,
Had an 85 rz350 MINT condition a guy wanted to trade an RC heli for. Heli no

I had a girl tell me once she would trade me a ride for a ride in my 67 coronet... we both enjoyed our rides and now we're married :rofl:
