I'm at the point of getting my interior installed.. My floor boards are extremely solid.. I have one pencil eraser size hole in drivers side that almost looks drilled.. Strong, clean and solid around it. I'm just going to fix with some fiberglass filler. Anyway, I had planned on, even purchased, using Por-15 to protect the floors, but I really don't want to take it all down to bare metal. 90 plus percent of the floor has factory paint with minimal surface rust areas. Question is, what would YOU do, what have you done..? I'm thinking about sanding/scuffing, remove surface rust and then etch primer, another primer then rattlecan it the factory color.(Hemi Orange)

Yeah man, thats a nice floor pan there. If its just the one small hole you can close it up with a mig welder. Back it up with a piece of copper on the back side to keep it from burning through. If its small enough you could probably get by with a dab of seam sealer.
In my opinion, stay away from por-15.

My car is red. Practically rust free ( was garage kept)..I filled a few holes, sanded a Lil surface rust off, then used a Rust Conversion spray, then red (to match the car) oil base Rustoleum...

I don't have access to a welder, unfortunately.. Seam seal instead of the fiberglass filler..?

I agree with seam sealer, I was amazed how big of gaps the factory sealed with seam sealer. That hole is nothing.

I would just fill the hole with seam sealer and forget it.
And if the floor is that good with no rust through, just install the carpet over top of it and not worry.
If the car isn't used in wet or snowy conditions (like they were originally), the floor won't get any rustier than it is now.
And, if you are really concerned, just paint the floor in the rusty spots with some Rustoleum and forget it.
It will outlive you...
