1971 Duster, Granny Special

Picked this up at the Mopar Nationals This Year in Ohio.

IF I can get it titled will be doing a full resto.

The big sell points for this one were that the car was 99.99% complete and only was missing a motor and trans, which the person I bought it from has if I decide I want to put it back 100% to stock. Also all of the body panel metalwork was done already and car is in primer, this was big for me because I can't weld my way out of a paper sack. She needs full floor pans but I can handle that since they aint gotta be purrdy under the carpet.

In the past all my car builds have been modernized poor mans restomods but I'll tell ya, every time i go to a car show its not the new fancy restomods I notice...its the ones with the Fully stock original interior the way it was supposed to be without a bunch of fancy crap added, with this car being almost 100% unmolested from its original build date it was the perfect candidate for a factory style interior restoration.

On the exterior, the name of the game will be Mean Mean Mean and more MEAN. Will be going with a Hotrod black allover paint job and gloss black bumpers/wheels, probably go with slot type wheels, Fatties in the back, skinnies up front, and a lot of RAKE.

Mechanically the car will be most likely getting a full painless performance wiring kit and a mild warmed over 360 magnum. Will most likely set it up for mechanical fuel pump and a Carburetor to keep things simple, I do not play well with electric fuel pumps, I hate the noise, and they always seem to burn up. Will likely run an HEI style distributor and an MSD 6a Box.

Welp, Enough rambling.... Day 1 Pics below.
