Ha Ha...a welding instructor I used to work with would say "A good welder can fix anything but a broken heart".
That is a seriously nice project car. Good luck on the title. I was able to title my 51 GMC in Minnesota with a form where I explained the history of the car as I knew it, with an old registration card I found under the seat from Montana which had the prior owners name on it and a bill of sale from the body shop that I got it from who had purchased it for parts from the original owner. I don't know if they contacted that person or what but in two weeks I got a title. I was a little nervous about contacting the person on that card but was able to get in touch with his daughter who confirmed the truck was sold for parts and that she remembered it as a child so all was good.
