Vacuum Pump recommendations

I wish you luck too but like mentioned above something is a miss. 47 years of building my own and engines for friends and we never found the need for a vacuum pump. I have one side hooked to a header and one valve cover hooked to a catch can. I do know if those backflow preventers go bad you will have oil pushed out. They are a maintenance item and should be changed out.

Right on! I tried the header/check valve scavenge lines and had a slight oil leak at the front crank seal. Maybe even a tad at the rear main. Took them off, added a pcv valve and no more leaks! I dunno if it was bad check valves but somehow the crankcase could not breathe.
