We will be traveling down from Washington State through Montana then South Dakota the second week of October. Taking the 25 south through Denver and Colorado Springs. Thought we would take a drive up to the summit.
Made the i25 drive thru Denver on the last Saturday in June. 1:30 in the afternoon, with the camper in tow. Totally sucked. I hope to never be on i25 ever again. Maybe we should have taken the 470 loop, but being a Saturday and wanting to drive past Mile High stadium, we thought how bad can it be...... Other than that, our 17 day loop from MD, to SD and CO then back to MD was an awesome 4000 mile trip. The day before we drove The Peak, was the annual hill climb. They had sleet and snow at the summit for that.
