Wilwood Caliper Piston Seals - Defective

PSA to anyone with Dynalite calipers. Check your seals.

I have been chasing a soft pedal/brake line leak for weeks. Brand new build with 0 miles. I initially thought it was a faulty flare that I had made. Checked the entire system numerous times. No leaks. Evrything was dry as a bone. Could not get the front brakes to bleed and hold pressure. It would build pressure then immediately go soft.

I bypassed the proportioning valve, then the line lock, trying to narrow down where the air was getting in. Couldn't find anything. I even remade some lines, thinking that maybe they weren't seating correctly.

When we manually bled them, I noticed a squishing sound coming from the calipers. I initially thought it was the sound of the ceramic pads pressured against the rotor. I listened again with a stethoscope and could hear the sound on both the +pressure and -pressure cycles.

So I pulled the brake pads out, and all 4 piston seals were leaking on both sides. Makes sense now why the rear brakes were fine and the fronts wouldn't bleed. Cannot believe that would happen on a brand new set. Bought these in November of 21".

Need to call Wilwood tomorrow and see what they're going to do. Happy that I found the problem, but frustrated that they're the problem
