Rule no 1.
Always inspect second hand "rebuilt" engines and especially transmissions.
To some people, a paint job and chrome rocker covers is a rebuild.
Rebuilt, second hand, no warranty, beware.
Unless I’ve seen them in a running, driving car, or from someone I know and trust, any engine or transmission is considered a core. I’ve been burned on both.
