Who wins the battle to build an A833?

Back in the mid to late 70s, I ran an A833 in a 67 Camaro drag car. My car builder just did the slick shift mods on 2nd gear by grinding off every other engagement tooth on 2nd gear and every other spline only half way across on the 2nd gear side of the slider. This allowed keeping a synchronized 1st gear. We sent 3rd and 4th gears to Liberty for pro shift mods. I raced it for almost 2 years before selling the car. Never had any issues both dropping the clutch and shifting at 8000rpm.20200417_164740.jpg
