Test it. If you don't have access because it's a scattershield, put it in a press. See if it releases. "Jig" up the flywheel, disk, and PP. If you have a conventional bell you should be able to do that in the car. Usually need another person unless you can devise an adjustable "prop" to keep the pedal fully depressed
