Any value in 198’s?

There is a issue with the Molner/K1 rods that I seldom see addressed. The aftermarket rods have floating pins. Not a problem if you are using the dished 2.2 turbo piston, which uses a floating pin. The flat top non turbo 2.2 pistons require pressed pins, and won't work with the aftermarket rods. You need the stock 198 rods.
Well, truth be told, the Molnar rods are really made for the Wiseco pistons anyway. Were I to purchase that exotic a rod, the Wisecos would certainly be the way I'd go. I got fortunate though and found a set of the 198 rods on the cheap and had them reworked and still have way less in them than the Molnar rods. Press on of course.
