Carb spacer
Steve, I run an Edelbrock 8724 1/2" thick wood spacer under my 1805 AVS2 as well previously under a 1405 along with a cool carb spacer on my 340.
Actually the Cool Carb spacer is right under the carb the 1/2 wood spacer is under that spacer with 3 gaskets all together and it still takes a bit of cranking to get it the engine started on a hot day after a 10 minute or so shutdown.
It's better with the Cool Carb spacer than the wood spacer alone, but the vapor lock didn't go away like Cool Carb said it would.
