Who wins the battle to build an A833?

I would advise using a hemi 18 spline transmission. I ran a 23 spline A833 for less than a season with 14x32 slicks and the green clutch launching and shifting at 7000 with a 340 and the input shaft had taken a permanent twist in the spline just aft of the clutch disc. I don't know how much longer it would have lasted.

Your clutch twisted that input. A 23 spline will take way more power than your 340 put through it. That green clutch was garbage the day they drew it up on paper. 3400 pounds, and IIRC it was 3 roller assist. At 7k that probably had 4500 pound of load. Maybe more. That’s what kills parts.
