Dash Pad Experience

Did the PG Classic pad have the holes on the sides of the pad where they curve down to be able to screw into?

The pad that I pulled out of my 68 had what looked like a circular piece of metal embossed into the pad that a screw ran into on the left and right side of the dash.

I got a pad from Dash Pad Factory a few months back and just went to install it and noticed that there is no provision in their pad for these screws. I just had to screw them into the foam, which I'm sure isn't really doing anything. It could be a non issue or it could cause the pad to rattle once I get it back on the road.
Great question I just got one from PG classics and it also doesn’t have anything at all to fit into the those screw holes you’re also talking about. I’m returning it.. it came bent as well.
