904 poor 1st to 2nd shift

I went through and re-adjusted throttle cable and the kick-down linkage just to make sure it was all set correctly. Automatic shift points are a little low but pretty close, not too surprising since I switched from 2.76 to 3.23 gearing, trans works good I would just like to get a first to second to shift like the 904 with a TF-2 did in my charger. When I pull the pan do fix the gasket leak I guess I'll pull the valve body and go through the TF-2 instructions step by step. I have read the kick down lever may be changed in the car but I haven't heard from anyone who has actually done it yet. I might give it a try once I am convinced the kit was done correctly. I don't understand why the transgo tech didn't like blocking the accumulator mopar shift kits had a blocker rod for it.
