If you are saying that you want to make a faithfull reproduction of a Maxie engine, as long as the block casting is correct, then you should know the valve notching tool, which was created by Ed Iskedarian, can still be purchased today.
Does anybody know if a valve notching tool can be used to notch the block?
(I had my max re-notched, but due to the .070 overbore to standard 440, it was an unnecessary waste. A 413 WILL need notches for original max heads.
It MAY NOT be necessary with the new Mopar Performance max repops because of the smaller exhaust valves.)
