70 340 Shortblock w/ Forged Pistons

I have a 1970 340 short block with low miles and aluminum TRW forged 10.5 Cr and .030 overbore. The weight is the same as a stock 340 piston, 720 grams. I built this short-block (it was balanced and clearanced properly) in 1993 ran it a very short while on the street (less than 100 miles) then sold the car. I got the car back in 2004 and drove it home from the seller. When it was sold in 1993 the buyer backed it off the trailer at home and crushed the headers then parked the car. He was scared of it and drove it very little. No overheat and 65psi oil on highway. Bores look great & no ring ridge. Needs cleaned up possibly honed, new rings and bearings, although the main bearing looks great. You very well may be able to use it the way it is once the pistons are pulled and inspected. I used another 340 I already had for my 69 Swinger restoration. My car was not numbers match but this engine was installed in my car in 1975 and was there until I pulled it in 2004. The motor came out of a 71 or 72 340 Demon I bought from a friends totaled car. Price is $1800 firm. I also have a factory windage tray that goes with the block and an angled oil filter adapter. I do not have an oil pan. The motor from the Demon came from the Wichita Falls Tx area.

Local pickup only. Inspect before purchase. PayPal preferred, Houston Tx area. Thanks FABO
