318 build #2 "cost minded" for the '74 Duster

@318willrun, I like what you're doing here, I'd like to build a similar engine, I have a nice 318 Magnum short block. Since I don't have a cam like you did, I was thinking of getting the stock cam reground at Oregon Cam. They suggested the #1312 with 206/210 @ .050”, 262/264 adv, .475”/.507” lift(1.6:1 rocker), 112 sep as a mild street performance upgrade. With stock heads (assuming 58cc), flat tops and MRG11216 gaskets, I calculated 9.8:1 with no deck machining. I think that sounds like a reasonably fun combination topped with an Edelbrock air gap and nice double pumper. I'll be curious to see what you're results are.
