So it begins, '71 Duster 340 TX9

The car arrived last night about 8:30. The driver was very nice, from Armenia, and for having been here just about a year, did pretty well on English. The trailer winch was not powered and had a problem with the control, so he used a come-along to lower/unload. If my neighbor had been home we would his tractor. It took a while but the guy dealt with the car like it was a brand new exotic, very careful in handling, can't complain about that at all. I got a decent first look of the underside, and glad to say that while 'rusty' it all looks like surface crud. Major leakage streaks found. The body is another story. Both rear quarters will be replaced and maybe some inner fender cleaning/cutting/welding. My wife at one point said 'this will take years" and kind of rolled her eyes. Hhmmm, well maybe in the biggest picture of perfect detail. I know it will take a lot of time. But hey, I've got it. At least she didn't say anything about costing a fortune. More photos later today was the weather clears. Today's plan is to finish assessment worksheet, vacuum the loose crud from the interior and wash the motor off.
