Until you actually do something with it, you might as well be an import guy claiming his car is faster because his fart can made it louder.

And inferior ring seal, and gas washed cylinders, and weak ignitions. I am sure there are other reasons, too.
And don't say your old school engine has lasted 8 years with only tune ups and minor maintenance even though it is a race engine. Might as well be on an engine stand for the work it gets.
