This is probably in another thread, but I have to make a call pretty quick.

I have a 69 Dart four door with an 8 3/4 rear end. There are currently 14x6 Cragars on it. I have an opportunity at two 14x8 Cragars for the rear.

Does anyone know if these will fit without modifications, or is the question a bit too vague?

Thanks in advance.

The only answer is "maybe". No way to know for sure without more specs on the wheels and which tire you plan to run.

I will say no. Not without trimming.

I have 15x7's with 4.5" back space on my 70. I can't even slide a wash mitt between the tire and fender lip. It's close and my car sits up a bit back there..

Yep, I have 14x7 on mine and it's the same way. I still love your car. Color and the way it sits is sweet :)

I think you are going to want a 4" back spacing at the most....3.75" would be even better. I don't know if they made those? Then you gotta jack up the rear to clear the wheel lips..

I couldn't get 14X7s to work on my 70 Dart without doing the 3/4 inch spring offset package. With the kit there's reasonable clearance on both sides of the tires with 245 60 14 tires. I had the wheels offset so that the extra inch and a half (from stock ralleyes) was all on the inside. Makes the wheels look the same front and back.

My '69 Valiant has the 3" spring relocation. With perfectly-offset SBP 15x8.5 Centeriine Auto Drags and 275/50-15 drag radials, there's less than a finger's width of clearance on either side of the tire. They don't hit, but it's tight.

I bought the wheels used at a swap meet, but whomever ordered them obviously ordered 'em for inboard springs. There's no way they'd clear in the stock location, even with the offset-shackle setup. The wheel would hit the spring, never mind the tire.

To the o.p: without knowing the backspace, I can only give a wildass guess. No. Especially if they are old 5 on 4 small pattern, cause they were almost always "deep dish". Which means they only fit on full round wheelwell openings.
For NoCar340, the old autodrags came in only two backspace on 15x8 1/2s, 3 5/16 and 4 7/8. I have a pair of the 4 7/8, and i have to use .300-.350 spacers to get a 10.5 slick off the spring. So, i don't think yours were a custom order, just the shallow dish version.
