NOS means New Old Stock. This pie tin is used. You can see the marks in the center hole on both sides and you can also see the marks on the back where it was tightened down against the top plate of an air cleaner.
There are zero marks on the Center hole on either side and any markings that you think you see on the rear are from the stamping and manufacturing process. you’ve obviously never had one in your hot little hands to know any better for yourself.
The pie tin was on display in a display case on a chrome unsilenced air cleaner at Crosstown Motors, one of the dealers which was known for ordering the 71 and 72 swinger special‘s 340’s, hence its lack of original packaging.
