74 Dart 360 Sport

I went ahead and trimmed off the extra length and rounded corners so doors shut as they should with rear top panel installed. Did some epoxy repair additional cracks. Ordered supreme white vinyl and will cover the panels before install. I will probably also do door tops in same white. Its a faux leather and the inability to get new plastic tops or rears is an issue. This was my fear with a 73 and up car. Will use a high speed sanding disc to smooth up a bit prior to vinyl install. I didn't like the fake plastic stitching anyways it's cheap looking. As a kid and in good shape was fine but to have to pay refurbish may as well improve what they did from factory. These will not be pleated nor will door top.

Curious to see how they turn out after you have wrapped them. Never thought of doing that.

If it's anything like package tray and doir cards not to worried. Only part is I have to make sure the glue will stick. Will probably use lots of little clips with some sort of high strength glue. Not the spray on.

Looking really good!..
I'm really shocked at how things are panning out. I decided I want the Vision legend 5 for wheels going to go 15s for the old school look. 15x8.0 rear with a 3.75 offset and still deciding on the front not sure what I can fit on front. The 8 1/4 rear really limits me but these work and I like them.

The dart gets away with a little bigger tire on the front because of the way the rear part of the wheel well curves backwards. On my duster mode front tires are a little too big and they catch on the passenger side on the back of the fender because of the way it curls around on the Plymouth...

Wow didn't think that but your right front fenders are different.

Got one panel in with screws working out well. It's not perfect will get the end caps cleaned up a bit. Thought about putting a metal rounded end on there. I did have to trim about 3/8 off the side that goes under the seal it's much thicker with the glass back side and vinyl. This way it slid under and allowed it to come back far enough to slip in under window latches.

More on the upper door panel just about ready to start finishing and couple test fits. It's misfortunate that the these are not steel terrible design error.

Trimmed upper door panel and test fitting looks great. I have to drill holes and finish I will probably do this in white OER and not vinyl. Not sure this would survive me covering in vinyl and my patience. The other upper door only needs mount holes repaired and has no damage.

Got my rims today as feared I was to aggressive offset up front. That's ok I will go 15 x 7 -7 millimeter offset with 3.75 back space for the front. That should suck it in just enough to clear outer fender lip. It was just to tight at 15x 8 at a whooping -19. I misread that was my fault. Rear it's great I needed for that crazy 8 1/4 robbing tire width. It just clears the front bracket on the leaf where the tire goes on and will be a 10 inch wide tire.

Lol Summit is a mess right now just sent me 4 more wheels. No I'm not keeping them told them you got issues come pick these up.

Got my tires in today still waiting for front. Worked out great the offset in rear pushes it out just a bit.

All the tires and wheels are mounted. Time to get Larry on the phone and get the GD engine finished or move it elsewhere to be done.

They are working on my engine finally. So irked but it's coming along. Hopefully I can get over see some pictures.

This was a lot of fun putting together. I will just add China sucks at taking pictures and directions! intelitronix new cluster is assembled will start on wiring now and get this put in. Should be able to test most of it before engine is back in. I had a helper he likes to ask why Papa why. What's that's lol.....

Sat at home sick using my wiring skills watching tv. Four more wires to go so much fun ...not really! I plan to run a block wire for ground to a ground block hopefully that's good enough for the sensors but for fuel tank will run it all the way to it.

Managed to dig through my stash to finish the engine to harness. I will have to extend the mph sensor three wires and the ground to tank wire. Then hopefully I can get this all in and tested a bit. Main power harness is done. Since I won't need the grommet for speedo cable I think I may try to use to route my wires with the location. Will get the speedo sensor on it on and wired I will put a connector on there and wrap it. I'm going to avoid cremp connector and only use where needed. Least that way I can pull out easy for failure or replacement later. Need to start labeling all this white fiber tape maybe...not sure for this part. Time to lay down flu and strep
