Finally settled on rear wheels after seeing a Demon with the same wheels. 15x8 with 4” bs and M/T 235/60r15 drag radials. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I they fit my vision for the car perfectly.
With the factory 7 1/4, and stock leafs,I would definitely want to roll the fenders. It’s a 16th from the lip on the drivers side and damn near touching on the passenger side.
I am going to use the 8 1/4, which is slightly narrower than the 7 1/4, and I’ll be running Super Stock springs. I believe with that combo alone, I would clear the fender no problem.
I’m happy with the results. I plan to cut the wheel wells like a Super Stock Dart, and the wheel is right where I want it. Should have a nice full/stuffed look with a 275/60R15.
