Barn Find…sort of… non-Mopar

The ‘54 Chevy was repainted about 30 yrs ago. Within 2 yrs, little cracks appeared all over the body- anywhere they painted. Then came the light surface rust in all the small cracks. Little chunks flake off whenever it is washed.

So, the paint you see is not original and it is severely flawed. That and the entire family wants to see the nice car their dad loved so much again.
Maybe you can find the original finish underneath. I’ve seen it happen before. They wet sanded all of the new paint and found the old paint with a little patina.
