anybody repair this using

Cut the broken bolt off flush
Drill and tap the shaft
Get a bolt with a long thread section.

1. Cut the broken bolt off flush
2. Drill and tap the shaft
3. Get a bolt with a long thread section
4. Cut it to fit.
5. add some locktight
6. Put the shock on
7. Washers and nut.

All in, $5.00!


The nut and washer only keep the shock in place, minimal forces get applied to them.
