Thanks, the screen doesnt have a step, but it does have a retaining lip for the screen. I plan on using a windage tray also so I'll do some more checking, if it works with windage tray I'll make sure it sits off the pan 1/4"-1/2"

1/4 to 3/8 is what you want. 1/2 inch is too far away from the bottom of the pan.
The only way to know what your compression ratio is is to do a .500 down fill and do the math. The online calculators are pretty much worthless when the piston comes out of the hole.
