And its mainly because Tony ran his mouth without knowing what he's talking about. If 318s could be affordably made to run at 300 HP, it would have been figured out way back in the 80s..the guys dicking around today are just wasting time., grinding up good 318 heads that maybe someone will need in the future...they say your average home porter screws the heads up to a point where they are inefficient and they don't even know it...:)

V knows his stuff and has proven it numerous times. Now the challenge may seem pointless but does bring out experimentation. Now the cork in the bottle is definately the chosen carburetor. But then look at the power NASCAR restrictor plate engines produce. A lot of expensive parts and R&D goes into those engines.
These guys are pretty much donating their time and some parts. Intent is to sell the engine and those needing their output for parts will get that. Any surplus will go to St. Judes Hospital.
So maybe stop the sniping, eh. And have a Merry Christmas all.
