Limit on copied article length to repost?

How long can a repost of an article be? I'll usually repost the Readers Digest version that is included but not the "painter" part. I've done so today. One, in response to a question where hopefully the article will give enough info to help answer the question. Another was to also further explain the condensed version. Don't want to overdo posting if not allowed. Thanks! Bob
