I was going repair mine, '72 Scamp, as it came from the factory but I couldn't figure it out, didn't have patience or both. So, I bought one of those cages and it made me feel like I was a genius. Super easy and it works!
The only issue I had was it rubbed on the headers a little. I raised the engine about a 1/4" and that took care of it. I'm sold on the cage.
