Mecum Thursday, Another Duster goes for big bucks
I have a car that was sold at the Mecum Auctions in Glendale Arizona 2020. I didn't purchase it there and I didn't pay that much more for it from the person that did.
Even in this picture you can see that the paint is not very good.
I got the car knowing it was a total teardown and full restoration. The car is very rare, 1 of 573 1969 Polara 500 Convertibles, 1 of 4 with the Magnum 440
These auctions are not all about high end cars, this sold for $8500. This car had issues beyond what you could see in person and in person you could see a lot of questionable work.
Point being you never know what you are getting.
