Yep. If you have a liability behind the wheel the risk is astronomical.
In 1988 I was driving for a small company and I got a call about 2 in the morning.
It was the boss. He said get your *** out of bed and get downtown and pick up the Freightliner and the new trailer.
Me: **** THAT. Why can’t it wait until the morning when normal people are up.
Boss: Because Donny was dealing cocaine out of the truck and got busted. I called in every favor I had and they won’t tow it until 4 AM. So shag your *** down there NOW.
It wasn’t so bad expect waking the old lady up at that time to take me down there was like poking a pine cone up a bobcats *** in a phone booth.
Moral of the story: you can’t take a chance on sketchy drivers.
