I never sat in the car for three years. I bought it and left my son race it. When I wrecked my Daytona in September 2010 I told him he could finish the year but he had to have his car finished for the 2011 race season. And we did. Back in 1976 I was still street and strip racing my 1972 duster. 3 miles from me a 1969 drag only dart came up for sale for 1600.00. Dana rearend, spool axles, 14-32 slicks, set up for big block. I grabbed it the next day with a 28 day loan. 2800.00 for the 1972 duster (340 four speed) but it was a street car when I bought it.
