TTI and Kickdown Linkage

I’m in the process of doing a slant 6 to 340 conversion on my 72 Dart Swinger. It’s a column shift auto. I have stock 72 340 exhaust manifold 3614368 and am looking at complete manifold back exhaust systems. After researching this site and others I’m leaning towards the TTI system. On the TTI site it’s says for floor mounted autos with the three section Kickdown, the lower bell crank and throttle rod may need to be modified by cutting 3/4” out of the bell crank and welding back together. The note isn‘t listed for the column shift, but it’s unclear why the floor shift kickdown would be different than the column shift.

Does anyone have a similar setup (72 auto on column with 3 section Kickdown) and have experience with the TTI downpipes? Did the kick down bell crank require modification? I know a Lokar cable is an option, but I‘d like to keep the setup I have if possible. I did send TTI an email asking for info, but I’m looking for real world experienc. Thx in advance for any insight.
