I couldn’t even start to imagine

I looked into it and it's not very expensive. From the research that I've done the main expense is the pistons and if you want a blue printed carburetor for pure stock drag racing. Some guys dyno tune, some don't. Otherwise it's not much different than a stock rebuild. There was certain machine procedure's that you can't do but I don't remember what they were. I forgot what it cost to have a engine blueprinted, most of that you can do yourself. Crankshaft has to be factory stock so it can't have the crank throws index and equalized, no aftermarket rods or cylinder heads.

Nothing is expensive if you don’t care if you are competitive.

If you want to be competitive it cost MONEY.
