A little bench racing

In it's current configuration, it's capable of 106 quarters; that won't change much with sticky tires.
ETs are money-pits. Fully prepped in SuperStock trim you are looking at about 1 second quicker

My Barracuda did about the same with the previous 223/110 cam, also at 3650 pounds but at 900ft elevation; even down to similar 60fts. 106 was fast enough for me. I only went to the track the one time with that combo in 4 years. I only went for the time-slip, to post it in the window at carshows.
People would tell me how great 340s were back in the day, you know, going 98 in the quarter and how I shouldda built a 340. So when they see 106, I don't have to put up with that, anymore.
My engine is 360 based, being 4.044 x 3.58=367.86 cubes .... so I finally started calling it a stroked 340, which ended all the ignorant comments.
Yeah, I know; 367.86 rounds to 368, but I call it a 367, cuz it sounds smoother to me than 368, lol.
>It seems to me that if;
your 440 (231/237/110 cam) is going 106@3600pounds,
on 3.73s with a 3000stall, shifting at 6000 and
my 368(223/230/110 cam) is going 106@3650pounds,
on 3.55s with a clutch and shifting at 7000
Something
is not
computing.......
If I remember right, to go 106 at 3650 requires just 365 hp, which I thought was high for my combo......, but hard to argue about. I only made the one run that day, because I was sorta dumbfounded at the numbers, lol. Oh I should probably tell you, I was running OOTB Eddies at something like 190+ psi CCP, which is somewhat higher than your numbers; 180 was it?
If yur doing 106 with iron heads, @180psi CCP, have you considered that your engine may be detonating?
I mean detonation would kill your power.
Jus guessing.
Why would you say drag radials wont do much?
106 mph should be 1.8 1.9 60 foots that drops him and easy 5/10s best move in the book
thats and easy .50 doing nothing else .50 is alot
