Look what I just found...69 Barracuda Restomodded

I was referring to what we expect when spending money vs. what we expect someone to pay (for what we've spent). BTW I've got 3:91's with 325/50-15's (approx. 28" tall) 60 mph(gps speedo) @3100 rpm, it's not bad at all. But pricewise....if all else is proper on the car, and it had a nag5 , with the necessary electronics, installed correctly and detailed as such. The seller(not consigner) would need more than his/hers current ask (only the consigner knows this number) to break even. Gen3 is not a cheap endeavor.
no lies. i think some of us get caught up in the whole: i could build that for less! a G3 motor and trans is like 4K on ebay... and... and... and...

i know that i'm certainly guilty of this.

but again, not to knock the shine off that crazy diamond it just seems like everything else would point to an aftermarket OD trans and then *blows raspberry*.

anyhow, you're right, the cost of a G3 swap is vastly underrated by most. just some back of the bar room napkin math shows an easy 20 if you're going with an aftermarket front suspension. then when you add in the attention to parts quality and detail on a build like this all those extra 200 here 150 there pieces start adding up.

and that's before even tackling the looming cost of paint & body and procuring a decent base to start with.
