Dumpster diver 70 Duster build

@Turbo440Dart can share the details if he likes but we were able to save the intake. The casting was very porous and it was very dirty but lots of preheat and a very skilled aluminum tig welder (a buddy of mine not me) and it worked. We wrapped it in welding blankets to cool slowly to mitigate cracking, then it came back to my shop for finish work.

The steel pipe fitting is just a temporary piece I used to check thread depth and engagement.


Just remember, the nicer you make it the more it’ll cost when you buy it haha. I don’t have the words for the work you two did on that intake. I really don’t.
