I would not. That thing is dead nuts period correct just like the rest of it. In the end though, it's your car. Do it how it makes you happy. If it was mine, I'd get a color match for that paint and paint the hood, touch up the rest and put it back just like it was. That thing is a rolling history book. But it'll be cool however you decide.
