bad business choice by classic industries

I feel for OP, but I have a hard time getting hard about spark plug boot colors.
If you’re buying an item for a “restoration”, and the part is offered as a restoration part, it should be a correct part for a restoration. To offer it as such, then send a part that doesn’t match the intent of the restoration part, then yes, it’s a big deal. I can call Rick Gorski and get exact restoration wires for my car, and I have and pay the price for that, or I can get a box of blue wires from him for $25 that do the same job, but are not restoration correct. Don’t advertise that you have restoration parts if they are not correct, and train your employees to do more than just send out the box, whatever is in it.

I know that not every employee, and maybe not any employee will know what part is exactly correct for which restoration, but just sending new parts and calling it a restoration part is completely incorrect and not ok. That’s the problem with the hobby as of late, folks think putting on new parts is restoring a car, then when they sell, they’ll use the term “restored”, but it is anything but.
